Default Caliper Bolts

Does someone know the proper size for the front caliper mounting bolts for a 1999 4WD? The auto stores don't seem to have them..only the slide bolts. I thought they were M12-1.75 x 40mm but the thread diameter was just a tad small and wouldn't tighten. The 1/2-13 screws in but is looser than the M12.

Why didn't I think of that? Oh...I don't have the old ones. I could, however, pull one from the other side but if someone knows the size it would save me a little time. I did run my taps through the bracket and it looked like M12 was correct but just a tad small.

I just got done pulling out the slide bolts and I'll bring the mounting bracket to the hardware store....beats pulling off one of the bolts from the other side of the car which is about 6" from the garage wall so I would have to put the bad side back together and move the car to the other side. For future reference I'll list the bolt size which might save someone else some trouble. I spent over 2 hours searching and the best I could find is that it takes a 18mm socket which most everyone knows already.

Edit: The bolt that mounts the 4wd front double piston caliper is a M14-2.0 x 40mm. Although it's the correct thread the socket required is larger than 18mm. A 7/8" box wrench was a near perfect fit so it would be somewhere around a 22mm socket if I had one.

That parts store must not have been worth **** as these are normal stocking items at all parts stores as these fit MANY GM vehicles! Sold in pairs for retail $12 or wholesale @ $7...
