Can hear window motor but nothing goes.

ok so i have a 99 blazer ls 4dr and it has the factory power windows well one day the drivers side stopped working. now i can HEAR the motor and i can even grab the window move it up or down and it will stay there but no automatic part there anyone ever had this problem i have seen post about if the motor dont work and all but havent seen anything about can hear motor and can move window so yeah if anyone knows just lemme know thanks guys.

If you can hear the motor but it won't operate the window, you'll have to replace the motor. It could be the gear slipping on the shaft in the motor.

u should really open up the door panel and have a look around, like chevy lover said it could be the regulator/arm either bound or strip around its gears.i have a 92, so im not familiar with the inside design of urs, but i had the little white roller wheel get worn so bad that the regulator arm would just pop off. i went to home depot and found a thick plastic washer in the plumbing sec that resembled the roller, but being that the diameter had to be as big as the ball on the arm i then went to an auto store where i got some of those push rings to secure it on. solid as a rock ever since. good luck cause its gettin cold, ifitted apiece of plexy glass in the meantime.
