I have a 1995 blazer ls 4 door 4x4 and i just recently got it. I thought it just needed a new battery but upon further inspection of the alternator i found the pink (or maybe red) wire on the plug, not the main power cable, was cut or broke off. The brown wire runs into the wiring harness, but I cannot find the location of the other half of my red/pink wire. Can I jimmy-rig it, and hook this red/pink wire to the battery? Are these just positive and negitive wires? Or do they go to the gauges? I believe this is why my blazer will not stay charged.
