There was an aftermarket alarm installed at some time; the LED in the light control panel and the valet switch in the fuze panel, this could be the problem with the dome lights staying on.

But also check to make sure the instrument panel lite dimmer control is not all the way up which turns on the dome lights and keeps them on, no matter if the doors are closed.

Keep us informed as to what you find.

There is a door handle switch inside the door that also turns the interior lights on.

Well still no luck with the light issue...however I did do plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap and other misc things here and there....

Really nice ride for my daughter's first vehicle!

Pull the fuze for the interior lights and check for current drain. Then you can determine which circuit has the current drain....even if it is the one for the interior lights.

Let us know what you find.

X2 for the door handle switch inside the door - if i forget to unlock my truck and pull the handle the interior lights still come on (to help me find the key?)
