Can't shift out of park, brake lights not working
#14
At the moment the brake lights are more important, going to concentrate on that. I guess starting at the lights themselves and working my way back is the way to go?
I have an electronic version of the FSM. The only wiring diagram I could find for the brake (stop) lights has "export" listed next to it. Hopefully it is the correct application for my truck.

Here is your wiring diagram. Usually I will start anywhere that I have other info that makes that test point suspicious, like your new MF switch/disturbed connectors and wires. Then the point with the easiest access. IOW, I will look for voltage at the fuel pump priming tab before I drop the fuel tank. If none of that holds true then start in the middle and rule out half the circuit, then go to the indicated half and cut that portion in half. This will get you there faster, statistically. Let me know if you need anything else.
