Default cap and rotor problem

Hi guy's well went to replace the cap and rotor on my 2002 blazer,
What an afternoon cap didn't fit but rotor did, started truck getting random
misfire , brother in law after putting rotor on lifted and turned it could this be the reason for the misfire? didn't have it when I went to his place..
Put old cap and rotor back on still code 300 random misfire ,any idea's on this?

Normal for the rotor to pull up ~1/4" and turn. These things are real fussy when it comes to tune up parts. Use AC Delco only, D328A cap and D465 rotor. Aftermarket stuff doesn't last, and sometimes it doesn't work right out of the box... save your money.

It's easy to get the cap on just slightly wrong. Be sure that the cap fits exactly perfectly and that the bolt holes line up exactly. I've made that mistake in the past.

These things are real fussy when it comes to tune up parts, (plugs, wires, cap & rotor). Glad you got her going, thanks for posting back
