Hopefully easy question. There are two similar-looking, capped hoses or tubes that I have been curious about but haven't uncovered their purpose.

One is on the drivers side of the radiator, popping up near the air box in the vicinity of the oil/trans cooler lines. Here's a look at the one near the radiator. I stole the image from a YouTube video, which reminded me to ask about it..


Capped hose/tube on the driver side of the radiator

The second, very similar hose/tube is located near the transmission's fill tube. But it has a nearly identical look, being capped off the way it is.

What is the purpose of these two tubes? Thanks!

 

The one on the driver's side mounted to the fan shroud is the vent for the front diff.

The one on the passenger side I'm not really sure though, maybe a trans or transfercase vent? I've never really looked and noticed one on that side lol

Its the trans, transfer case and transfer case vacuum vent vent
