Car Dies every morning on new Battery!****
I am on my third battery in 3 years. The one I have now is 2 months old! (Duralast) Every morning I go to start my car I have to jump it. This happens every winter but this year it is at its worst. Ive had my Alternator and Battery checked and both are just fine. Plugs and wires were replaced 3 weeks ago. Has anybody had this problem. Or does anyone have a suggestion. I had to turn to the pros. Thank You. -Ryan-
sounds like you have a draw
use a multi-meter and pull off the positive battery cable, set it to read amps. put one lead on the battery and the other on the cable you should have like .2 amps or less i believe
im sure someone else will chime in with the correct numbers if im wrong
if you have more then that something is on that shouldnt be if its not something obvious you can pull fuses one at a time to isolate the circuit that the draw is on

Yep a draw down for sure, but where? Thats the magic question. Where to start, well the starter itself would be my first guess, those starters can kill a battery in no time.
After that, its test, test, test until you find the bad wire/open circuit (sp).
One time I had that problem on a 68 chevy pick up. I got it running and had the hood open staring at it with cuss words running thru my head, then I just started shaking wires and lord and behold I found it lucky I guess, when I shook this one group of wires it died. So I knew I was in the right area, I then went one by one until I found the one that made it die and draw my juice. I cut out the bad area put in a new section of wire and blam, troubles were over. Now no meter in the world would have found that for it ran perfect until the wire was bump or disturb.
I know its not the perfect solution and made not work in your case, but its a start. It could be a bad inside light wire, you know one of those that don't work on the inside when you open the doors or won't turn on when you try to turn it on, or the igntion switch, now theres a good spot to look at. They have been know to short out and draw the juice.
Good Luck
