Catylic Converter Issues
2000 chevy blazer. 4wd
Finally diagnosed it to the cat. now the only problem is replacement is $350 for just parts. anyone find better prices on theirs? anyone have good luck ordering a universal one from summit, jegs, etc. and putting it on?
Tranny started to slip a little last week to so i don't want to throw a ton of money out on a Cat if my tranny is about to go.
thanks

Try changing the tranny fuild and filter and see it that takes care of the problem before you send it to blazer heaven. Fuild and filter should be change every 50K, no ifs ands or buts about it. I change my at 50K and filter was very, very, dirty and thats with light driving and no towing what so ever. Them blazer need to have the trans service on a reg basis or you will pay...

www.rockauto.com <<<< this should be a new favorite u add to your browser for parts in abundance, maybe wanna order everything ur considering doing over the next while @ once from the same warehouse to save on shipping but i'm pretty sure you can find what you want/need for less including shipping.
only thing i should stress - GET A DIRECT FIT BOLT IN cat. don't get the uni's as i've been told they generally DO NOT pass emissions testing or with not as good a numbers as they should.
here's a direct link to cat's for the 00 jimmy
