Changed front brake pads on 1997 Blazer - now it's locked in 4wd.
Hello,
Ireplaced the front disk pads on my 1997 Chevy Blazer and now my Blazer is staying in 4 wheel drive.
Prior to replacing the brakes, I was able to operate myBlazer in either 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive. NowI'm unable to switch from 4wd to 2wd because the switchs are not working(they don't light up)when I push them.
I replaced the 4wd fuse even though the old one appeared fine and it still doesn't work.
Does anyone haveany suggestions as to what would cause this? [&:]

my guess would be when you had it jacked up a power line to the vaccuum switch in the transfer case got knocked off... jack it up, put it on stands & look for a connector off around the transfer case... or take it to a shop, blink your eyes & twirl your hair & ask them to put it on a lift & look for a wire/wiring harness off around the case [8D]
