ok well i had alittle scare yesterday when the steering panel started smoking on my 98 blazer 4d, so i took apart the colum and could hear the blinker relay buzzing and were the hazard light switch is was glowing and smoking so for now i just have the blinkey relay out but, how do i unplug the assembly? it doesnt unplug from the colum, were des it unplug from? cant be drivin without my blinkers, cant afford a ticket, all help will be deeply appreciated. will be goin to pick ur parts after i get a reply

and also what year / model / s10-sonoma-astro-jimmy-blazer will be the identical part with cruise?

Be prepared to perhaps spend big $ on this item: I got 2 quotes for my no longer owned 96,one from a GM dealer $600+ installation not included. Then from a GM-AC Delco jobber in my area: $430! After finagiling prices through my local NAPA (As I am a dealer account) The best I could get was $310 for the GM part! I passed! The 96 was retired and a 97 took its place and one of the first things I looked at was this MFS! It had been replaced! So I lucked out! NEVER pay LIST prices for any GM part,period! Good luck!

 

The most common AC Delco unit (w/ tilt & cruise control) is $223 from rockauto.com.

 

well i got it fixed. my buddy at a chevy auto dismantler got me 1 for $50, came off a s10 with 43k. works great and not smoking. took about 2 hours to fix, had to drop the steering column to get to i believe the break light gear lever un-locker which was the hardest part. i can get any part cheap. already changed the upper and lower control arms on both sides for $50 an arm, and an engine ran me $650 with 60k on it. i can get all parts for this cheap besides new ones =)
