Changing Intake Gasket Question
It is possible to change out the intake gasket without removing the AC bracket on an 2000 blazer 4.3? I am stopped at this junction. The reason I am changing it is that I now have dex-cool in the oil and it is not pretty!
If I do have to remove it how do I get the PS pulley off to access the bolts behind it?

It's been years since I did mine. You don't remove the pulley, it has holes in it. I think you rotate the pulley to align the holes with the bolts. Remove the pump from the big aluminum bracket then unbolt the bracket from the front of the motor.

Glad you're making progress. I wasn't sure if the blazer had the holes in the pulley (some pumps do, some don't). Use good gaskets, mine started leaking again six months after I did it. I tightened the bolts up a few more pounds but I couldn't get to the ones without taking the front off again. I was lazy and used bars leak instead. My coolant isn't a pretty orange anymore but I haven't had a leak in 3 years. <G>
