Should both sides be changed with both wheels off?

You don't have to pull the wheels off to change the plugs on both sides, there is a flap in the wheel well that you can bend up its made outta a cardboard type material that gives you access to the plugs on both sides. For extra clearance you can jack up the front end to get more room but then use a spark plug socket and extension and you can get to the plugs no problem. For that pesky number 3 plug you can drop the steering box which is 3 bolts on the driver side front frame rail let it hang and that opens up enough room to replace that plug no problem. Any other questions just ask!!

I found it easier to remove both the wheels and have it jacked up. You can just remove one side at a time and finish up one side, put the wheel back on and then jack up the otherside and repeat the process. Removing the wheel gives you more access room, but is not necessary, just personal preference. Good luck, that number 3 plug is tough for some people and not for others. Mine was tough but i finally got it after many hours of work and different tools.

I don't go through the wheel wells. I reach every one from top. The mid plug on drivers side, I believe where the steering gets in the way, just slide your socket on the plug make sure it is all the way on, then take a end wrench that fits the end of the spark plug socket & loosen it as a rule you can back it out by hand.
Here is a trick on putting in the new plugs. Take a short piece of 3/8 gas hose about 3" slide it on the plug end & thread it in by hand, tighten with socket or wrench. Doing this you will never cross thread a plug or plug hole.
