Default charcoal canister

I have had a problem with the evap system and I know I need a ftp sensor and purge valve, but dont really feel like replacing them at this point in time. and I have to unhook my canister to fill my tank with gas and then I reconnect it, PITA. so what i was thinking was just to pull the canister and put a valve on the end of the hose and just plugg the other two up. would this be possible without having any running problems? or am I just thinking crazy and should just replace the parts?

I would just replace the parts cause if you bypass the canister I don't think you will be able to pass emissions then.
