Clicking noise?
I'm hearing a clicking noise at low speeds. It doesn't seem to matter if wheels are straight or not. I raised front end and spun tires, heard nothing wrong. It sounds more like drivers side, I was thinking front drive shaft area. This is on 97 4x4 blazer. All modes work, 2Hi, 4Hi +lo, but there is about 1-2 inches of play in that front shaft when I grab it and turn. Is that normal? I'm new to 4x4, does that shaft spin even when your in 2wd.
Also I do not hear it when in 4wd. Front diff fluid checked good.
Any help appreciated...

the shaft will not spin in two, what i mean is that while in two wheel the shaft will not turn on its own although if u have raised the front then u will be able to turn the front shaft by hand in 2wd once in 4wd the shaft becomes engaged and cannot move without the transfer case moving it. the cliking might be ur 4wd engaging and disengaging as u drive, also check ur tires for any screws or large rocks.
