clicking noise

Default clicking noise

okay i got a 1997 blazer ls and i here a clicking noise and i thought it was the upper and lower manifold gaskkets so i replaced them and i put it all back together then i still hear the noise my buddy said its probally the clearnce between the push rods and he said that 90 weight gear oil would do the trick

Need help

Well if you were to put 90 weight gear oil in the engine that really would be "sillybob".

First you need to try to determine exactly where the noise is coming from. If you hear it from the valve cover, it's not a difficult job to remove the valve cover and see if you have a loose rocker arm. A rcker may have excessive clearance due to a worn camshaft, a collapsed lifter or an adjuster nut that is loose. Check it out and let us know, perhaps we can find a reasonable solution to your problem.
