First off I hope this is the correct forum if not I apologize. When I shut my car off the clock light stays on. Is this normal? I have never seen a car do this before. I bought the truck(97 4x4 blazer) in june. 2 weeks later a drunk driver hit me on my bike and I didn't drive for over 6 months. I recently had to change the battery. Thats when I noticed the light staying on. I can't remember ever seeing the light stay on. Could I have a bad ground? What could be making the clock light stay on when the car is off? Im terrible with electrical stuff on cars. The mechanical side I do great. Any input would be great so I can fix this if its not normal. I searched the forum, but I didn't see anything when I searched.

what clock light are you ereferring to????

 

I was reffering to the clock on the radio. The radio doesn't come on when the car is off, but the clock stays illuminated. I currently have the fuse for the radio pulled so the clock light will go off.

 

anyone have any ideas?

 

Does the clock dim whith the dash light dimmer?
If not it could be an internal problem in the radio. It is a stock radio, right?
It might not make sense, but check all the fuses.
