Is there a post somewhere detailing dash and gauge cluster removal? I needed to replace a couple of bulbs. And dint know where to start.

From reading your other post, you have a 98 Blazer.

To remove cluster
Drop knee bolster, two screws,
i believe one screw above the steering column and then your entire dash piece just unsnaps. When that is done, you can see the screws to remove the clustser. Just make sure that you mark where all your needles are at idle, little easier to get them back there.

 

You wont need to mess with the needles at all. If you remove the clear plastic cover you removed the wrong screws. There will be 4 screws that hold the cluster into the dash, after you remove the dash trim, then the bulbs are on the back side. Korey.

 

yea, forgot what he was doin. just remembering putting on new white faced gauges for a buddy.

 

will a cluster form a 2000 bravada V6 auto, fit in a 1998 Blazer V6 auto?

need a cluster ASAP!

 

It should, however, I believe that all 2nd gen Bravada's were floor shift with no shift indicator on the dash... This may or may not present a problem for you. If you are already floor shift, then you should have an indicator on the center console to tell you what gear you are in, but if not, get good at counting the clicks.

 

yea... that is kinda what I am trying to avoid..... It is for my girl so I know how that will go over..... hehe
