Default coolant plug(s) on engine block?

I was trying to find the engine block drain plugs for the coolant on my 95 blazer, but I can't seem to find them [>:].Anybodyhave an idea of where to look from to see them (if they actually exist)? Haynes says under the exhaust manifold, but I don't see it.

Ok, I was searching through some old posts - are these the so-called "freeze plugs" that are made to pop out in case the coolant freezes? I was just wondering because it seemed a coolant flush would be a lot easier with the block plugs out, but if that's what they are then I'm not going to mess with them. Anybody?

Don't mess with the freeze plugs. They're a whole lot more trouble than they're worth. Flush using normal procedure as per the label directions on the flush kit and call it good.

The plugs you are looking for are just above the motor-mounts in the middle of the block most likely under the "exhuast manifold" if you are looking from the front of the engine compartment...they also look like a 6 pointed bolt sticking out of the block.

There should be one on each side in the same areas...
