Default Coolant res. and blower motor

I'd like to know if you have to drain the coolant overflow before you remove it, and is the turkey baster the best method.

also will any other blower motors fit in a 98? say like from a full size? and does anyone make some sort of gasket for the blower motor, like silicone or something.

what have you all used to seal it from the engine bay if your plastic was unusable after cutting it out.

The factory service manual states to reuse the piece that gets cut out & using black weatherstrip adhesive, not silicone, to seal up the cuts in the plastic cover. I'm surprised no one has come out with some replacement cover for this.
