Thanks Boots and Mike 308.
I looked at another RHD one today and it’s just the same as yours Boots.
mine is definitely bodge job.
now what do I do?
try and source the wider bar or try and source the wishbones with the different mounting point?
any ideas would be greatly accepted
cheers

Do you know anyone that's good at welding? Easiest way around this in my opinion would be to fabricate a new mount in the correct position. One like what Blazen & Boots have on their lower control arms.I would consider that design stronger than what the vast majority of them are due to the gussets on either side. I have welded up many of the other design over the years due to the ears snapping off.

I used Bauer Millet until they closed, so thanks Shaun 67 for the heads up about PartsUSA. I have regularly used Rock Auto and also USAutomotive. However, because of the difference in the European spec especially the RHD version I would recommend USAutomotive as they have all the info regarding the RHD models.Steering parts have been sourced from New Zealand.

Having looked at mine the set up is the same as BooTs so it does appear that yours has been bodged.Your best bet may be to get a second hand replacement. Although the cars are now rare there are usually one or two being broken on eBay.
So far as steering parts PontiacJeep UK recondition pitman arms which is a lot less hassle then sending to New Zealand.

Just my three cents here.
I was pretty confused with this case so I went ebay to find out whether there are control arms with a narrower sway bar mounts (different trims). Amongst the offers I found tons of the wider ones but none of the accurate one. Personally I'd go a wider sway bar option, as finding the control arms in future may be a PITA.
EDIT: There's one on our national auction portal:
https://allegro.pl/chevrolet-blazer-...838737553.html
A big price of $15 + shipping...

hi Mike,
how do you know it’s the wide bar and not the narrow one?
regards

I don't know. That's my assumption only - from the thread it seems the cars that have it different are the right hand driving ones (except LT of blazen_red_4x4 I guess). I doubt we have RHD Blazers in Poland Anyway, You may always ask the seller to measure the dimension and compare.
