Default Courtesy light mounting location

So I spent the afternoon replacing the combo switch on my daughter's 98 Blazer. A couple of great tips from this forum made the job easier and saved my hunting down some sockets for the single external torx screw.

Anyway, when I remover the filler panel, a courtesy light dropped down. As I was putting things back together, I looked and looked for a mounting location, but couldn't find one. This is, of course, the driver's side.

Can anyone tell me where that courtesy light should mount?

Thanks.

should be a 7mm bolt holding it in place, under the dash-look up to the right of the e-brake handle, above your foot brake, mounted in the darker colored plastic under the actual dash. There should be a void, cavity where you can see the spot. JP[&o]
