Crank No Start fuel pump relay question

This is a 1997 Sonoma. 4.3. No start is due to no fuel pressure. I do not hear the relay engaging thus no power to pump. Some direction as to how to by pass the relay will be helpful. There is no little red wire at the firewall to test with as was on my 95 Jimmy. There is no fuse box as far as I can tell in the engine bay.
I was not sure which relay in the glove box is the fuel pump relay per my manual. I was testing the far left rectangular relay of which there are three in the box. There is another square relay in the box but I am pretty sure that has nothing to do here. There was power on the lower right terminal at all times and nothing on any of the others while turning the key on and off.
A point to note is the shifter will also not move. Shifter is on the floor and when depressing the lock release it still does not move. Could this be due to brake sensor switch or neutral safety switch.

sounds like you have a fuse issue on both. check for power at the fuses, no just that the fuses are not blown. if you dont have power in the instrument panel fuse box look under the hood at the power disribution junction. make sure there are no damaged fusible links or connectors.
check All the fuses. especially the ecm fuse. #9 i think

Those three relays in the glove box are interchangeable. The one on the far right should be the fuel pump one. Switch the one on the right with the one in the middle (horn). Then check to see if the horn works. If not then you know that relay is no good.

I'm helping someone and the vehicle is at his home. I will look again. I think what I'm going to do is take the cover off the relay and force the circuit closed. If I can determine if the fuel pump is good, then figure out where the problem is with the relay.
