Cruise Control gone ape
My cruise control seems to have flipped out. It won’t engage all the time, when it engages and I have to break, it won’t engage again and finally it will disengage when I switch on the lights.
Any ideas of what’s wrong?

I've never had a problem with my cruise control, but since it works through the multifunction switch (as do the lights...hint hint), and since the MF switch on these trucks have a dubious reputation at best, I'd bet the problem lies there.
Welll the braking thing is normal. The cruise control is supposed to turn off when you touch the brakes..untill you turn it back on.
The first problem with not engaging could be anything from a CC motor to linkage problem, but the light glitch makes it seem like it's back to the MF switch as gary2000 said. Any problems with your turn signals or hazards or rear lights?

The problem with the breaking part is that it won’t engage afterwards.
Come to think of it, I think one of my rear lights is not working. Could that cause the malfunction (I'll check it out tonight, after work)? The strange thing is that it disengages or won’t engage whenI switch on the lights by turning the **** on the dash board. The turn signals work fine and the hazard is on the steering column (how does that have anything to do with it?)
Thanks for the help guys

Hazards are part of the MF switch, and remember it is also wired into the headlights....the MF switch is how you turn on your brights, and the car has to know if the click to brights should activate high beams or just flash them
I'd say you have a bad MF switch!

Well, the strangest thing happened yesterday. As I mentioned in a previous post, my right rear break light was not working. I changed it on Saturday, and yesterday while driving back homeI tested the cruise control. Guess what!!! It worked like a charm

I'm not sure if it was a fluke, but I'll test it again on Wednesday (Athens is not a city to drive a car, traffic is awful, so Wednesday I'm leaving for Easter vacations), and let you know.

Tested the cruise control yesterday and it works like a charm. Just to be sure, I changed the working light with the burned out one and the C.C. started acting up again. So it's official, if you get a burned rear brake light, your C.C. will not work.
