So I am shopping for a replacement radiator and am curious as to what people have found and their experience with all aluminum radiator for our 4.3L Blazers.

I need one with the fittings for both the transmission cooling lines and the engine oil cooling lines. It is the later option that seems to be lacking in most of the aluminum radiators I have found.

Here is a list of the ones I've found that have all of the fittings I need. I'd appreciate any and all comments by those who know of them or have installed them. Of course if there are ones I have not listed please add your link and your thoughts on it.

UPDATE: Feb. 26, 2019
In case anyone finds this thread, as of Feb 2019, I was not able to find any domestic suppliers of all aluminum radiators for our Blazers. I excluded the ones on eBay and Amazon as they are of questionable design and quality. The one domestic manufacturer that I found had discontinued their radiator for Blazers (speedcooling.com). I thought I had found an OEM style radiator from Misimoto that had a thicker core (1.375" vs. 1.0") but when it arrived it too had a core of only 1.0". There is a radiator that can be purchased from Advance Autoparts that lists its core thickness as 1.375" also but I have not been able to confirm if it really has a thicker core or if it is mislabeled like the Mishimoto one. I suspect the later but I hope someone can report if it really is the former.

UPDATE: March 7 2019:
Apparently Engineered Cooling Products is carrying the radiator again. (See post for 3/7/2019). This is the only apparently domestically manufactured radiator for our 2nd Gen Blazers. I have an email from them that they do manufacture their radiators in Chicago.

Damn, my radiator might start leaking at some point soon. Shame you can't fix those plastic side tanks. Looks like I'll have to pick up one of these!

 

Added a couple more radiators to the list in the starting post but some of them are out of stock.

I would suggest you get a screen/shield put in the grill if you don't have 1 already... Stupid little rocks from the road are a menace lol

 

I'm now getting quite discouraged with trying to find an all aluminum radiator with extra cooling capacity. I've even tried looking for the plastic/aluminum ones with extra cooling capacity but cannot find any. Ugh.

If anyone has any suggestions for any radiator with extra cooling capacity, all aluminum or not, please let me know.

 

The pro tuning lab one says it has extra capacity, and comes with two fans mounted. Currently out of stock, though

 

When you install a two electric fan set up on a Blazer with the stock mechanical single cooling fan, it would seem you would have to have some elec. connection to interface with the engine cooling system to turn the elec. fans on and off. Is that correct ? How is it done ?

 

Not sure. Maybe it comes with a temp sensor of its own it uses to turn them off and on?
