dash brake light on
1996 Blazer 4wheel drive 4.3 auto. the dash brake light on. hit the release. pushed up the pedal. looked for the switch?? Where is it ? how hard to get at? I did see a connector in that area toward the top back of emergency brake pedal it has two blue wires in it. I should say the head lights are still on.
Ok, I'm confused. Is the park brake warning light staying on or the headlights are staying on?
Or is it the ABS warning light or are you low on brake fluid?
I'm easily confused when I'm watching hockey and reading at the same time

LOL, The dash brake light is on. (as with most vehicles if u push on the emergency brake the headlight will go out if you have have the vehicle started) The abs is not on. Not sure if its down on fluid but i will check. I just purchased and put a motor in last weekend.
So not sure. What is the 2 blue wires in one connector near the emergency brake.

I was just looking at a wiring diagram that shows only one blue wire ti the park brake switch. There should be power to the blue wire and the switch provides the ground.
Try diconnecting the blue wire(s) and see if the warning light goes out. If it does, the switch is bad.
Keep us posted.
