Default Daytime Running Lights?

I can't stand the daytime running lights, and it kills me to think it's so hard for someone to reach down and turn on their lights via the switch.
On my 98 Sierra all I had to do was remove the small 10amp DRL fuse from the panel on the side of the dask fuse bank.
On my 2000 Blazer I can't make the damb things stay off untill I want to turn them on myself. Is this in the computer program or am I missing something.
It really kills my stealth ability!!

And why would you want to drive with your lights off?

I think you are confusing DRL (daytime running lights) with AHL (automatic head lights). Both of which can be fairly easily defeated. Run a search and you should turn up the pertinent details.
