That is a LOT of RTV to find! I'm sure that Les is correct that you'll find more in some of the other choke points of the oiling system as well.

I've fixed the link as well as created a PDF copy that I host in my google drive so you don't have to upload pdf's in individual threads, you can just point to the Tech Article index. If you find any other useful information that you find yourself attaching frequently, you can always submit a tech article of your own and then just link to that.

Well, it was supposed to be Sunny and 46 today but now it is snowing and 34. After tomorrow it is supposed to rain all week. So maybe by spring I might get to it. I hate living in PA with no garage, lol.

So I got the lower intake manifold on. I may have majorly screwed up the torque because the torque wrench i bought doesn't work and I am sure I overtorqued the bolts. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Any cracks in the intake manifold?, Snapped bolts or stripped threads? what spec did you use and are you sure you set your torque bar correctly? post a pic of the torque scale on the wrench with it set to the spec you used also, its easy to set it incorrectly if you're unfamiliar with how to do it.

No, it just doesn't work. It doesn't look like anything is damaged. I am going to exchange it today. I just need to know what I need to do to remedy the fact that I definitely wasn't able to torque them correctly. I was tightening and I knew it should have clicked because it was only set to 27 inch pounds. I even tested it on my lug nuts and it never clicked.

You know that you can post photos on the Blazer Website? I also would like to see a photo of your torque wrench and the scale, or a link to it on sellers web site. Not sure what kind of click you are expecting at 27 inch.lbs. If you're not used to what to feel for, you might only notice the movement of the head when you reach that very low torque - but you can always see that the head starts to rock when you reach to set torque.

As far as the bolts go, loosen them up and start again through the sequence. But you might want to remove them and apply a little more sealer. If they were WAY too tight, then something may be damaged and time will tell.
