Default Dies at idle

Well I bought an 01 S10 Blazer a few months ago off of copart.com. It was totalled and I have recently rebuilt the entire fron clip. Well now it don't like to idle. If I do nothing with it that don't bother it but if i turn the AC or the vents on, it tries to die. It runs great but only has this problem at idle. And now the AC will not kick on even while driving. Hopefully I can get it scanned some time tomorrow but I figured I would ask here before hand.

And P.S.....
I have read quite a bit of info from this site and I really appreciate it. Seeing a few of these blazers lifted gave me inspiration
I will post some pics up tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

Codes are the first thing to check. Any vacuum leaks? Have you cleaned the throttle body (and IAC bore), the MAF sensor, and/or the EGR valve?

And please be patient and do not bump a post except if you have already waited 24 hours (per forum rules).

I can't seem to find any vaccum leaks and I haven't had a chance to get it on a scanner. I can't tag it till next week due to an inspection for it having a salvage title and I don't have a scanner anymore (someone stole it). Just wondering if someone has had this problem before.I shall investigate some more. When I first got it this was not happening. One day it started and I haven't been able to pinpoint the source yet.

Could be the IAC valve isnt providing enough duty cycle. Try letting it idle, then stomp on the throttle and quickly release. If it sputters or dies, Id say the IAC isnt doing its job. But it could very well be a vacuum leak as well. Test for vacuum at idle and note the inches. Then have a buddy turn on the AC and see if the vacuum decreases (as it should) and see if it recovers quickly.

It pulled up codes 102 and 103. Then one for the air pump but it was unhooked before this started. Been checking for vaccum leaks but have not been able to find anything.

P0102 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit Low Frequency
P0103 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit High Frequency

I'd say you have a problem with your MAF sensor. The troubleshooting for P0103 is quite similar to P0102.

Could the sensor be bad or just a bad connection?

Have you tried cleaning the sensor?

I haven't yet. I found a wire that was spliced with a power wire for something else. The wire ended up going to the MAF. Could the other wire draw enough power to mess the MAF up and make it go bad?
