Yes. Realize that the "leg" for the #1 cylinder is actually on the passenger side of the cap, IIRC. There should also be a 6 embossed in the plastic of the actual distributor. That's where you line up the rotor at. Make sure #1 is at TDC before you line up the rotor.

Midnight is correct if it does not drop in place when you install it you will need to turn the oil pump rod and try it again. Do this until it lines up with the distributor and it sit down on the intake. If it does not fall in place the first time get up on top of the engine with a flash light and look down at the oil pump rod and look where it is located put your rotor button on the number 6 of the distributor and go counter clockwise with the button about30 degrees and look at the bottom of the distributor and try to line up the oil pump rod to the location of where the # 6 is on the distributor.
