If you are getting a P1345 code then your distributor is still installed incorrectly. Use this think Installing and Setting a Vortec Distributor Correctly - GM Truck Central to get your distributor installed correctly and then you can go about fine tuning the CMP Retard to get it running correctly.

Yes, I spent a few more minutes researching the 1345 code. It will set if your CMP retard is off by more than 27 degrees. Each tooth on the distributor is something like 11 or 13 degrees ( I think, would need to double check ). So after you get the distributor in the right spot you'll be able to use your new toys to dial in the CMP retard to +/- 2...

ok so that little OBDII bluetooth came in and synced with my phone. Gone over all dizzy settings AGAIN and all is a go. TDC #1 (by Compression Gauge and feel), Both marks aligned correctly on Balancer, and Dizzy on #1. Runs rough and ticks. Scan app says cam retard* 6.7 and cam retard** 17.6 (Dont know what * and ** stand for) But those are the way cam retard is listed. Also says cam position sensor and crank position sensor NOT in correlation. (What does this mean if not Timing Chain Slipped?)

Use the number with the single * and you need to adjust the dizzy so the cam retard reads 0.0 +/-2.

You haven't read the links provided to you! You need to modify or replace the distributor hold down bracket to be able to adjust it.

As for the nose it's hard to tell what that may be you said you changed the intake manifold gasket but not what compelled you to change them. So I will ask what happened that you were compelled to change the intake gaskets? More details= more help

Just buy a new distributor and that will fix it. I had to do that for my 02. Amazon has them
