On my '04 Xtreme, the remote will lock the doors but not unlock them. Suggestions as to where the problem lies?

 

When you hit the unlock button can you hear the actuator trying to work?
put your ear on the door panel on the outside and push the unlock button
Do you hear anything?

if you do linkage may be binding

if not probably a bad remote

 

A bad remote is my guess, too, as there's no sound. I'll have to see if a dealer can get me a matching new one given the VIN. The existing one doesn't seem to be amenable to coming apart for a looksee. Thanks.

Did you check out the internal battery? JP I realize they work one way but who knows...doubt it but....
