hey guys whats up?

I got a 97 blazer 2dr 4wd and i cannot unlocl the drivers side door with my key, i can unlock it from the inside and with the remote, but i cannot unlcok with the key. I put the key in the lock and the key turns freely but i cannot get it to lock or unlock the key will jsut spin, any ideas on how to fix it? I discovered this last week when me remote died so i had to open passenger side and hit power locks to open drivers side door what a hassle.

Sounds like the lock rod has fallen off of the lock cylinder inside the door. You need to remove the inside door panel and weather deflector and have a look at everything in there.

 

do you have a picture/diagram of how the door lock should look so i can tell if anything is out of place?
