Default Driver's Side Window

Hi,

Driver's side window won't go up or down, when press the switch. I can however control any other window from the driver's side master panel and every other windows works with there own panel switch.

I noticed that replacement switches for the driver's side, replaces the entire master switch.

Is there anything I can check before replacing the entire switch, since the rest of it works fine.

Thanks

Peter

Sounds like you have a bad window motor. If you can't hear anything when you press the switch, that would be the first thing i would check. Let me know how it goes.

I had the same problem, was able to power the window motor directly with battery power, so I replaced the master switch and it works.

The driver window is the only one with a Auto Down circuit and an overload circuit in the switch, apparently one of those 2 functions failed.

I had the same problem. Up north- winter- window down! Bought a switch assembly and it didn't work. Thankfully Advance took it right back. Bought heavy plastic for 3 hour drive home. Got motor. 5 hour job. Nearly lost finger. Window worked! .....for about 4 months. Now nothin. Same symptoms. All others work. Window is up fortunately so I just grin and bear it.
