Default DRL - Fuel Pump Issues (?)

OK, I'm confused.
So, the right side high beam lamp has been blown for a long time on the wife's '96 Blazer.
It hasn't been an issue since she never drives it after dark. We always use my truck if we go out in the evening.
But yesterday I was doing routine maintenance on both trucks and finally replaced the headlight lamp.
When I was putting it back into it's parking spot on the carport, I noticed a strange green headlight indicator lamp on the cluster....Daytime Running Lamps.
They had not been working before, apparently due to the blown lamp.(?)
But the work now.
So today she called me from work to tell me that her fuel pump wasn't shutting off whenever she shut down the truck.
Since she works at a secure Govt. facility I can't get to the truck, so she had the vehicle maintenance crew look at it....they pulled a fuse and that apparently shut it down.
She put the fuse back in to drive it home.
When I looked into the situation this afternoon, all is working fine. No apparent problem now.
So, my question is this: Is it possible that the DRL control circuit could affect the fuel pump control circuit?
Could this have been an ECM glitch?
Anyone had a similar experience?
Should I just shoot it and dig a really big hole? (Just Kidding...really....)
Thanks in advance for any input.

There really isn't anything ECM related that could cause this. Sounds like its possibly damaged wiring...

Thanks for the reply.
I was just thinking that the ECM apparently detected the lamp had been replaced, since the DRL function hadn't been active while the lamp was bad.
As soon as I replaced the lamp, the ECM re-activated the DRL function.
And since the ECM controls the fuel pump relay, I was just grabbing straws I suppose.
If it doesn't act up again this week, I'll look into the wiring this weekend.
This aught to be fun.
Thanks again swartlkk.
I appreciate it.
