Our fuel pump just died two weeks ago. I went with a Delphi. That is why I join the forums. I want tried and true. Between the girlfriend and I we have 4 vehicles and I spend enough time wrenching on them that I am not interested in doing the same job over and over. Fix it right the first time with the right parts.

In the last year or so Delphi pumps are no more expensive than any of the others. When I bought my 97 Blazer 4x4 back in 2008 Delphi pumps were $500. But it was worth it. I drove it almost 100K & I sold the truck & it is still going on that Delphi.

Not to thread hijack, but...

Has anyone heard of a "Spectra Premium" Fuel Pump? Any good?

Advance Auto has a "Spectra Premium" Fuel Pump and Tank Assembly which includes the fuel tank, fuel pump pre-installed in the tank and mounting straps for $290. Then Advance Auto has amazing coupons so I'd knock $75 to $100 off that price.

Never heard of those. But that is pretty cheap. All I know is installing or paying someone to install a fuel pump is not that easy or cheap. to me going with proven parts is the only way to go. I'll stick with Delphi for now.
