Default Efficient and preventative Maintenance

Just bought a 2000 Blazer LS 4 Door RWD as a project car
I am starting off by replacing the power steering pump and the steering box. Next on my list is the turn signal switch, only my high beams work and after replacing just about every part it could be this is the only other possibility i have found.
My question is, while I have things taken apart is there any other parts that could be swapped out during the process that would save me time in the future or preventative maintenance that could be accomplished at this time?

My AC compressor/system is going to be changed later this year. I have never done a turn signal switch before but if there is anything its connecting to that can get finicky later on in life i would like to take care of it now. Thank you!

On my blazer it is easy to put the headlight assembly in wrong, so that the low beams point up like high beams. Might be worth checking out.
