Electric Fuel Pump
Considering I have 30+ years of experience under my belt as an ASE certified mechanic (specializing in tune up among other fields) I learned a long time ago to never ***/u/me anything. With the limited amount of info given by the OP - and the fact that the problem only occurs during cold start - the first logical step in diagnosis would be to determine and verify how they were attempting to start the vehicle. You would be surprised by the amount of cold start complaints that are resolved simply by instructing the owner how to properly start their vehicle.
The problem with a paradigm is that they are open to interpretation, their meanings constantly change and they are usually manipulated to fit a particular persons agenda when they don't have a definitive answer.
When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?
It starting fine the rest to the day seems like it could be a fuel supply issue after setting for a long while.
Well Yesterday I went out to move it (Wife wanted to put up Christmas lights where it was park) And just for ****s and giggles, I turn the key on and off twice and without touching the gas pedal it started. It chug a little, maybe a few seconds then ran fine.
I still think its mad at me for taking it out of the garage and putting the new Nox on there! hahahahahahaha...I will monitor it and see how it goes. I know the plugs wires maybe should be change out also, the are the org ones, wouldn't hurt it thats for sure. I also have the stuff for a Oil change (I always do my own, had it done once at a shop and they put it the wrong oil, they had to drain the wrong stuff out and put in what I ask for in the 1st place, the invoice told what oil they use, thats how I knew) Also have everthing for a Transmisson fluid change. (Again had a shop do it at 50K and they charge like 200 bucks with the filter) I brought the filter for around 27 bucks incudes the pan gasket, plus the fluid for a couple of bucks, a hell'ua lot cheaper then letting them to it again. Also have a new driver side window motor to put in (Have had for about 2 yrs now) The window acts up every now and then, so in no rush to tear into that project. And of course I have the Harley oil leak from the oil lines, just can't get into doing that yet, it never uses any in between changes I just slide some cardboard under there and let it leak, its not all that bad anyhow just a few drops every now and then.
I want to thank all of you for your input and help in this matter.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Dennis - When online it can sometimes be difficult to realize the intent of a post since you can't see facial expression or hear tone of voice. If you felt my posts were an attempt to insult you or make you the fool then my intent was lost in translation. I was simply trying to establish the exact procedure you were using in starting the vehicle.
It is always difficult to diagnose online, but with the info provided in your last post I would suspect that fuel is leaking into the cylinders overnight and causing the hard start situation. If you continue to have problems starting it in the morning try using a WOT approach. Slowly depress the pedal to the floor and hold it there while cranking until the engine starts. When you can, have the fuel injection system diagnosed.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours also.

Has anyone seen the new Atomic MSD electric fuel injection. In the Jegs catalog it is part number 121-2910 cost 1990.99. Here is why I bring this up. It comes with an inline fuel pump that will put enough pressure to run this EFI unit. Take a minute and look at this unit, it bolts on where your AFB fits. I think if a person could discover a fuel pump that would put out 66 to 70 lbs of psi it would make these hard starting problems a lot easier to fix. I have installed another brand of inline pump to along the frame to a tank with a pump inside and it pulls right through it. I am just tired of pulling these tanks an buying a big complete unit for 300 bucks when there should be a way to install a pump outside the tank and acheive the same results. I have been told that the newer cars have their pump outside of the tank. If anyone knows of a pump plese let me know. Thanks
