Hello I have a 01' chev blazer s-10 4.3 liter engine. 90k miles . I live in Las Vegas and when its reallly hot when I drive home I've noticed after about 20 min's when I get to a stop and try to accerate the engine dies I put it in nuetral restart it and go til I have to stop again. Please tell me its not the fuel pump anything else it could be.

 

It COULD be any number of things.
Pull DTC codes. That would help.
And no one who's been on here any length of time is gonna tell you it isnt the FP.

HOWEVER.. one of the first places I would look if it were me is the Ignition Module.
Remove it and see if the dielectric grease between it and it's bracket/heat sink is dry or caked. If it is, clean off and install fresh grease. Hell, do it anyway, cant hurt.
If it is the ICM, the problem will usually get progressively worse and you may have to wait 5 mins to restart it. Know a salvage yard nearby? Pick up a distributor, coil and ICM. Could be the distributor pickup.
You have a 2001.. other members say there was a prob with dist shaft bearings. Take off cap and wiggle shaft, any play = probs.. should have set P0300 but ya never know which will come first.

Other things: Clean the IAC valve. Long shot -usually they cause problems right when you stop, not start up- but again cant hurt.
Check the PCV
Check for vac leaks

Outraged at price of Dielectric grease? Go to Lowes and get Plumber's Silicone Grease. EXACTLY that, not any two of those... all three words! Not messy, not sticky, stays put at high temp.

Lots of other uses for it, wiring harness connections, plumbing washers and o-rings {EXCEPT AC}, coating plug wires and boots, yadda, yadda.
