It has been single digits in Iowa. I came out after work blazer started. Started driving and the engine just shut off. The lights were still on. I tried restarting it and it would turn over but would then start clicking and then would turn over some more but would not start. There was a full tank of gas and the pump was working. I had someone hook up some cables to the battery and it still did the same thing. Any ideas?

Its been below zero in Minnesota so i feel your pain. I had similar issues as soon as the cold weather started to hit, jumper cables or anything else i tried wouldnt work, took the battery to checker to have it checked and charged and it came back fine, a week or two later the same issue would come up bring it in again and it would work for another short period of time. I guessed bad battery and when i took it to fleet farm to get checked out they found it to actually be a bad battery, as soon as i put the new one in the problems have stopped.

 

Cool maybe I will just buy a new battery and try that. Its been in there a few years. PlusI dont think it is the correct battery. I guess it is worth a shot. If not I will have a new one. Thanks
