engine problem

Default engine problem

i have a 2000 4dr 4wd blazer with 170,000 kms. when i accelerate the engine losses and gains power numerous time before running properly. it also does it when im trying to go around 100kms and trying to go above 2rpms. any ideas? thank.

Check fuel filter for restriction.
Check fuel pressure and leakdown.
Key on, engine off, fuel pump running: Fuel pressure must be 60psi to 66 psi and must remain above 55psi for 3 to 5 minutes after the fuel pump shuts off.

Pull the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter and see if it runs better. If so, you have a plugged cat that will have to be replaced. Also, clean the EGR valve.
