^^x2 on the pictures. I have a little digital camera that I keep in the garage and not only do I take a pic along the way, I also label tape every connection...A to A, etc.

One other thought, you might want to consider buying a re-manufactured long block. The one I bought came with a 3-year warranty. Then you don't have to worry about machining, etc. You can get a long block for about $1800.00. But it also comes with the oil pump and all the gaskets you need to put the engine back together (Note: Though it comes with LIM gaskets from Victor Reinz, you would probably want to put those aside and get the Fel-Pro LIM gaskets). May seem like a lot now...but you will be surprised how the nickles and dimes add up for a complete re-build.
