Engine stumbles and runs quite rich after driving and shutting off engine
I have a 2001 Blazer. There were no engine troubles AT ALL until the gas lines started to leak, The car sat for a while as I could use the wifes' Trailblazer. Then I decided to replace the fuel lines. I did this and the car seemed to be ok. I put some gas in out of a can and drove to put gas in at the pump. When I drove away the car made it about 300 ft. and stalled. I checked the filter and it was ok. It's fine at a cold start and will be ok for a while. If I shut it off and restart that's when it will start its ritual of brief engine shutdowns, and then ok for a bit, then more short shutdown/pickup. Very annoying, and the gas mileage is terrible. When it stalls, restart requires a matted accelerator and blows black too-rich clud of smoke. ANY IDEAS???
Here's a good place to start. Post all 4 readings and we can analyze them for you. https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...eakdown-88305/
Distributor cap & rotor might be another possibility. Use AC Delco ONLY.
