Engine temp and heat output?

The core is wide open. I have almost hot hoses on both sides of the core and with the truck sitting I had almost hot heat but the temp never cam up at all. The top radiator hose is hot and the bottom is cold. From what I could feel on the radiator it felt rather cold to me as well.

Yeah I tore the dash apart and everything seemed to be in working order from what I could see but I am wondering if the blend door acuator is actually bad.
I still don't understand why the temp won't come up unless its just a coincidence that these things just went bad at the same time.

The only input I can give you is if you have a good working tstat ( mine is a 180*), no air in your system and a good core and sensor, then like my truck, the heat should force you to open a window or shut it off. Mine blows so hot it gets stifling in the cab if I don't shut it off and crack a window. The gauge reads right at 180 no matter what the temp is outside ( currently it's 7*F ) after rising to about 200 and the tstat opening. I'd check the sensor if your tstat is good.
