Default Engine's actin up

I had my harmonic balancer replaced a month or so ago because it was vibrating pretty bad. Pulled the old one off, saw it was coming apart, and then threw on a new one. The new one seemed to solve my problem. Well, now my harmonic balancer is vibrating again. So the mechanic that replaced my first harmonic balancer said it may be something to do with the crankshaft and he may have to replace it. Well, that's kind of a big deal, so I wanna see what you guys think. When you get on the gas, the vibration from the balancer seems to go away for the most part. If it IS the crankshaft, what could have caused it to act up? And if not the crankshaft, what do you think it could be? FTR, there's no oil leaking from the engine anywhere.

A vibrating balancer can wear the journal on the end of the crank. When they replaced the balancer, did they mic the journal to make sure that it wasn't damaged?

I'm pretty sure they just swapped them out. What's mic'n it consist of? I mean, that whole crankshaft is one assembly-right? You can't just take off the part the harmonic balancer rides on can you?
