Default Erratic Fuel Gauge Flickers w/ Turn Signal??

Okay, I know the fix to the erratic fuel gauge is the sending unit in the fuel tank.

My question is why does the fuel gauge needle flicker when the turn signal is turned on?

I searched and found nothing similar to this.

Yep, my 97 does the same thing. When you figure it out let me know. It just isnt that important to me to dig into yet!

Default Erratic gas gauge

Will do. I have seen similar posts and they all say ground wires. Checked them, not it. Gas gause flickers with brakes and putting drive into park (figure it's the momentary rear brake lights causing it). I'll just keep tinkering but not worry because it"s fine otherwise.

Hello all! The 97 I use now has had the same symptoms since I stole it-started to look through all the threads, and then figured it wasn't worth my time or effort to correct on a 14 year old unit as it has been 100% reliable for over 22K in just over a year. Appearance, performance and reliability are my main concerns-and it has satisfied me in all of the above! These are not new units anymore! My Jimmy has 166K and is a real 20 footer-some issues you must leave alone or for ever wrack your brains over! Best of luck!
