My 98 blazer stopped firing today, turns over fine but won't start. Also I recently blew out a tire which ripped up the back fender and knocked the evap can loose. I still havent replaced the canister and I'm assuming thats when the check engine light came on, could that be related to the not starting issue?

 

only way to tell is to read the codes. if the codes say something like EVAP or PURGE then thats the caniester, the codes may also tell you why your truck isnt starting. THE BASICS - you can check to see if you have fuel presure by pushing down on the schrader valve on the fuel rail behind the intake with KOEO. check spark with a spark tester. and make sure that you are getting airflow (no clogged air filter).
