I don't think a tip will make it sound deeper but a gibson cat back exhuast will and it comes with a nice tip. Summitracing.com has it for chevy.

Depending on your budget you can first try something cheap to see if you like it and then go for a Borla or a Gibson...
Try a cherrybomb, or a dynomax, or a flowtech raptor...those are the best bang for the buck...
They won't cost more than $30 and if you don't like the sound just take it out...flowmaster 40series are for about $60, I think and they sound GOOD on the 4.3L's...If you buy a Borla or a Gibson...you'll spend a couple of hundreds...
I myself bought the Flowtech Raptor Turbo II muffler and am happy with it...you'll loose a tad of low end but you'll gain high end...and if you keep your foot off the gas you'll prolly gain 1/2 or 1mpg...also, if you can gut the cat and pass emissions in your state, do it...

I have a cheerybomb on my stock exhaust and I think it sounds great. If you want it to sould like every other vehicle put flowmaster on it(I dont like how it sounds plus everyone that puts exhaust on a car puts flowmaster and they all sound the same) But thats my 2 cents.

One of my friends put a gibson on his ford ranger and it rusted out completely. Be careful.

Ivann. are you talking about that 2.5 inch catback system at Summit? I was kinda hoping for a 3" from the headers back and maybe new headers as well. Have you seen this anywhere?

A longer custom made y-pipe WILL make a lot of increase in low end also...you can have it made at an exhaust shop for 100-200...and hey, it WORKS!
I myself rather do that than the headers...headers make you loose a lot of low end...the custom y-pipe made me gain a lot of low end, better mpg, way better rumble sound...after 2,000 rpm's, it takes off...as a matter of fact, I can make my tires spin now...!I could not do that before...
