Exposed wire on bottom of truck
Hey all, what is this? What should I do to fix and make sure no damage has been done? Just had my battery die out completely this morning unexpectedly (cleaned terminals w paper towel). Locks don’t work as usual so pretty certain it’s battery.

Break that old plastic wire loom away, inspect the wires....see if there is any damaged covering or exposed copper. If not exposed copper, then you can get new plastic wire loom at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. The wire loom is split so it just goes over the wires. Have the joint of old-new wire loom high on each end to keep as much water out of it as possible. You can also get some silver insulation tape at the same place. Will not be a "forever" repair as water will get in, break-down the adhesive, so you will have to do this again.
If there is exposed copper, need to at least get some electrical tape over the area. Then replaced the wire loom.
Disconnect the battery before doing this.
