A few troubles...

I have been working away on my newly acquired 97 Blazer, and here are a couple I am stuck on;
Fuel Guage: My fuel guage is wonky... most of the time it reads empty (even though I just filled it) but last night it went up to about a quarter tank level, then drifted back to empty. Perhaps a connection problem?
Hood Light: The light under the hood doesnt seem to work... tried replacing the bulb and fixing the wiring... still nothing.
A/C: I bought the recharge kit... just don't know exactly how to do it. Wondering if theres a step by step or diagram floating around out there?
Thanks for any help.

Fuel gage is always a prob, the sending unit is part of the fuel pump. after replacing the pump it still may not work correctly. fill it up drive 250 miles fill up again.
i ahve not worked on the hood lite, but now you mention it mine does not work either, i will look at it later.

Check the AC Delco website to see if the sender is available separate of the pump.
I agree, it is a connection issue, but not the typical kind. The problem lies on the sending unit itself. The sweeping contact corrodes/wears over time and causes the erratic and/or inoperative fuel gauge.
